Sixteen Stunners! My picks for visually lovely films to see.

Top Sixteen Visually Appealing Films, in no particular order.

I really enjoyed these movies, they definitely treated my senses. I would watch them all over again and again. These are the trailers for each, I apologize for any ads. I wanted to do ten, but I could not narrow it down. I could almost do twenty but that seemed weirdly excessive and sixteen is a peculiar number for a list. I'm quirky. If you haven't seen these flicks, I would highly recommend them. Some are definitely not the traditional beauts that my friends or family would think of and there are definitely others I find stimulating, but these are my choices for aesthetic pleasure. I have to give credit to the lovely Stasha at The Good Life for the idea. Check out her list, too, here.
But here is mine. Leave me comments and let's get together for a movie. I have popcorn. I might have had some for breakfast.
1. Pan's Labyrinth

2. Spirited Away

3. Amelie

4. Mystery Train

5. Diva

6. Raise The Red Lantern

7. Kill Bill

8. Babette's Feast

10. Ran

11. Farewell My Concubine

12. The Fall

  3. Anne is this in the order of your preference or are all of them equal?

    1. I put them in a fairly random order, although I probably COULD have picked my top ten. I think at least 4 would be equally on top. My favorites keep changing though. I think I would have to do a movie marathon (with some kind of deep breathing, walk about cleanser in between) and re-watch some which I have not seen in many years before I could really decide. Right now this minute, I think Pan's Labyrinth, Mystery Train, Farewell My Concubine and Spirited Away are on top. But tomorrow, I will have a different answer.

  4. Good choices! I would also add In the Mood for Love. That is the first movie that I always think of when the topic of visually beautiful movies comes up. House of Flying Daggers is also a good one.

    1. I should have included In The Mood For Love. It is so beautiful. I don't know if I have seen House of Flying Daggers? I am going to look it up. It's a pretty cool name, you'd think I'd remember something like that.

  5. Love your picks. I adored the visual aspect of Pans but it kinda scared me! And Darjeeling was great in every way. There are four on your list I have never seen and I must!! Beautiful collection, thank you for sharing xo
